Faye Toogood revisits the legacy of Noritake at ALCOVA

A transformative new direction for Noritake will be celebrated during Milan Design Week with the unveiling of the Noritake Design Collection at ALCOVA in Villa Borsani. Noritake, under the creative direction of Yuichiro Hori has asked Faye Toogood to create a collection called ROSE, and to curate the exhibit space. This new direction also includes tableware collections by Yabu Pushelberg, Marc Newson, AB Concept and The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. Lighting by Yamagiwa.

Evening event hosted by Glenn and George

George and Glenn graciously hosted the launch event for their collection with Noritake at their New York City home. The scenography for the table was very striking and special with chef Cedric Vongerichten catering all food. There was a special moment when chef Jean Georges joined the event. The guest list was a mix of press, people from the design world, hospitality world and interior designers. As everyone left the event they were given a plate from the collection in a custom designed box.

Yabu Pushelberg Reimagines Noritake: Honouring Tradition, Shaping the Future

The 19-piece collection captures the grace of the celestial with mesmerizing astral patterns. In both dark and light versions, this magical play of light, color and texture reveals the perfect fusion of traditional expertise and contemporary aesthetics in a harmonious blend of handmade virtuosity and advanced technology, resulting in fine tableware that is both richly ornamental and immensely durable, translated into an intimate dining experience. The collection was unveiled at BDNY November 10-11, accompanied by an installation also designed by Yabu Pushelberg.
